Self driving cars

This video was a TED video about driver less cars. He describes how driver less cars would help the world out. Also how the cars function and are on the road. They would save 1,000s of lives. This would be a lot better in the long run because I think they would be much safer. My two questions are:

How long would it be until the driver less cars come out?

How much would the driver less cars cost in price?

    I feel that it would only be a few years until they came out because google might have to fix some glitches. It would probably cost about $75,000 dollars because of the brand new technology.

    When I looked up the price of the new Mercedes driveless care, it was typed in red, "Don't even ask". So, needless to say, I think they will be expensive.
